With the onset of the "financial aid season" [college-bound students are encouraged to file their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1st as possible], CBS moneywatch.com explores what they've determined to be the "7 myths about financial aid". As identified in the article, the myths include such ideas as making too much to qualify for aid, filling out the forms is a waste of time, and home equity damages chances of receiving aid.
