According to an online article from U.S. News & World Report, some school districts across the country are concerned about the safety of their students on Election Day. Due to the larger-than-normal voter turnout expected, school administrators fear their security measures may be difficult to enforce on November 4th. Some communities which utilize local schools as polling places have attempted to relocate the polls, or have considered cancelling classes for the day. Other communities are pursuing permanent relocation of polling places for future elections as a means of protecting students.
